The longtime Midland High School coach, and recently, the Midland Dow High School head coach, will be inducted into the 2024 Michigan High School Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame, said Brian Kaminskas, the HOF chairman. The Yorktown, New York native, played collegiately at Towson University as a defenseman, and hosts a 120-63 overall high school record during his coaching career. But while the impressive background is certainly the criteria to earn HOF status, it was Stadelmaier’s tireless work in the Midland community that built his organization into one of the best in the state during the last two decades, a spokesperson said. The tireless worker, Stadelmaier was always lending a hand, an ear, but mostly his heart, to developing the ‘fastest game on two feet” in Mid-Michigan.
The Troy native and current Birmingham Brother Rice head coach, will be inducted into the 2024 Michigan High School Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Hall of Fame, said Brian Kaminskas, the HOF chairman. Chawla, who has coached the Warriors for a decade, has won eight Michigan High School Athletic Association Division One titles, is 12th on the MHSLCA’s All-Time win list with a 162-33 record and continues to oversee the best high school lacrosse program in the state, based on career records. Chawla earned his playing stripes right at Brother Rice and played collegiately at Marymount as a defenseman and spent several years coaching high school under legendary Rice mentor Rob Ambrose. Chawla is one of the bright younger minds coaching lacrosse in Michigan and assists with a wide variety of charitable programs throughout the Birmingham area, said Kaminskas.
