The ‘eastside lacrosse pioneer,’ Dale Forbes, was one of the first organizers of amateur lacrosse in Macomb County, first as an assistant at Utica Eisenhower, then as head coach in the mid 1990s, all the while organizing and starting a youth program entitled the Macomb Mustangs. Forbes started an adult ‘Lacrosse Basics’ course for parents and interested parties in the 1990s, so more enthusiasts who followed their family and friends would understand the game
